Center Coast continues to grow as a team and earned a 4th place finish in Division II which placed Coast 11th out of 15 teams. High points for the tournament included three 7th inning come from behind wins. In one of those games Aleki Fualau hit a grand slam home run to win the game 10-9. Aleki also earned Division II honors as MVP, All-Tournament Team First Base, and Sportsmanship.

A special thank you to our support parents and significant others who helped with lugging equipment, coaching, keeping the scorebook, serving as bat girl, and running for supplies. Thank you Debbie, Don, Evonne, and Mary.

Coast traveled to Chicago July 30-31 and played five games over the weekend. We lost to Columbus in extra innings, defeated Whitewater and lost to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Except for one inning that got away from us we played the Sox evenly. On Sunday we played Chicago Cubs I and again one inning was the main difference. Our last game against Cubs II was disappointing as we had thumped them in Columbus in June. Mental and physical fatigue got the better of us and we dropped our last game. However, playing five games in two days was good warm up for nationals next week in Columbus August 11-13. See pictures.

The weekend of June 11-12, Coast traveled to Columbus for a tournament and went 1-3 on the weekend. It was a good start to the season. Everyone had some good play defensively and offensively. See pictures.
